Xbox Series X/S Launch Details

Late last night windowscentral.com published a story detailing the previously unannounced Xbox Series S. A smaller, less powerful, and all digital next-gen option. It’s slated to launch alongside the Series X on November 10th at $299. Microsoft has since confirmed the existence and price of the Series S (although not the release date) but stayed silent on the rumored Series X price of $499, presumably so they can announce it themselves at an upcoming event.

The leak also detailed the Xbox All Access prices. All Access is a monthly payment plan that allows you to upgrade to next-gen and get two years of Xbox Game Pass Ultimate without any upfront cost. According to the leak, the Series S will run you about $25/month while the more powerful Series X checks in at a very reasonable $35/month. Assuming all the pricing info is correct (and it appears to be), this is a huge win for Microsoft. The $299-$499 price points keep them in line with previous generations and represent a pretty good value for what you're getting tech-wise, while Xbox All Access opens up a path to early adoption for those who can’t afford to drop hundreds of dollars at once on a new console. Check out Brad Sam’s video below detailing the Series S specs.
